What is SolForge Fusion?

SolForge Fusion is a hybrid collectible card game (TCG) that combines physical and digital elements. Created by game designers Richard Garfield and Justin Gary, the game stands out for its deck fusion mechanics and algorithmically generated unique cards. Each physical deck can be scanned and used in the digital version of the game, providing a seamless gaming experience across both formats.

Gameplay

In SolForge Fusion, players take on the role of a Forgeborn, a powerful leader of one of the four factions of Solis. The gameplay involves fusing two unique faction decks to create a new playable deck. A core feature is the card level-up system: each time a card is played, it becomes a more powerful version, adding a strategic layer to the game. The game offers a vast array of over 40,000 unique cards, enabling endless combinations and strategies.

Game modes include:

  • PvP (Player vs. Player): Competitive or casual duels against other players.

  • PvE (Player vs. Environment): A roguelite campaign mode with procedurally generated challenges, where players can earn rewards and experience.

Decks can be customized and evolve as players progress through the campaign, unlocking more powerful cards to tackle greater challenges. The uniqueness of each deck and the fusion capability ensure that every combination offers a distinct gaming experience.

Blockchain and NFTs

SolForge Fusion integrates Web3 elements, enabling true digital ownership of decks through NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) on the Solana blockchain. This allows players to mint their unique decks as NFTs, gaining digital ownership and the ability to trade them freely. The game is a pioneer in combining the physical, digital, and Web3 worlds.

SFG Tokenomics and Utility

SFG is the native token of the SolForge Fusion ecosystem and has multiple utilities:

  • NFT Minting: 100 SFG can be burned to mint a deck into a fully tradable NFT version on a player's account.

  • Rewards: SFG will be awarded to players participating in organized play and community reward programs.

  • Governance: SFG will serve as a governance token, controlling a "community pool" (33% of the total SFG supply) used for event rewards, marketing campaigns, and other community governance initiatives.

  • Liquidity Mining: SFG can be used in liquidity mining campaigns, incentivizing the provision of liquidity for the token.

The SFG launch included an airdrop for eligible SolForge Fusion players, original SolForge players, Solana holders, and Web3 gaming communities, distributing 22% of the total token supply.
